Great lens for the price

I'm very pleased with this lens. Like all of my other TTArtisan lenses the build quality id excellent. I like the silver and black retro styling of the lens which compliments my silver and black camera bodies. At f/5.6-f/8 the lens is at it's sharpest before diffraction sets in from f/11. Wide open at f/1.4 the lens is soft in the corners as are most f/1.4 lenses and there's some barrel distortion and vignetting which is easy to correct in post-processing which pretty much disappears when stopping down to f/5.6 or f/8. The lens is well suited to zone-focusing when stopped down as everything from quite a few meters up to infinity is sharp. All-in-all I'd recommend this lens to anyone wanting to experiment with a manual focus prime lens at a very affordable price, it's a fun lens to use.
