Excellent
At f/0.95 it's adequately sharp for subject photography, but for landscapes you will need to step it down. The bokeh this lens creates is unlike anything i have ever seen, on the sides of the image it can get distorted into triangles or even 3 dimensional cones.
As for the build quality, it is made out of metal and glass, which feels very nice. However, there is a problem with quality control and that being the infinity focus point being before the infinity mark (at marked infinity nothing will be in focus). This wouldn't be as big of a problem if the focus ring wasnt glued on to the indicator ring, but it's both screwed on and glued in. It is fixable if you are willing to partially disassemble the lens, but it would be a big improvement if the manufacturer calibrated the focus point correctly, or at least didn't glue the focus ring so you can do it yourself easily. Outstanding! I use this on a Leica CL. Really awesome low light capability. Amazingly sharp.
This lens is a great deal!
I knew it wasn't big but its small size surprised me... it's a very beautiful object, very pleasant to use. You have to learn to tame it, but it brings a lot of pleasure, the photos often have something special... which makes you want to go back and take photos.
This is my 6th lens from TTArtisan ... (the photos was taken at f0.95)
The f0.95 aperture gives you just that little bit of extra capability you might need. Works quite well as a 50mm lens in APS-C format. Am a committed user of TTArtisans products.
